Arroyo San Antonio The Arroyo San Antonio Condominium project provides sustainable living in newly constructed, well-designed homes. The units are passive solar, single story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath homes.
Each room is designed to bring in natural light and cross ventilation. The homes incorporate contemporary design elements and modern architectural concepts in their design and construction, utilizing OVE framing techniques , FSC certified lumber, blown in insulation , high flyash content concrete, formaldehyde-free cabinets, recycled glass and concrete countertops, and a unique on demand domestic hot water/radiant floor heating system. These are just a few of the features incorporated into these unique small homes.
The homes lie in a desirable historic area of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The famous Acequia Madre, or Mother Ditch runs through the south side of the property, offering a lush, quiet, rural ambiance. This Acequia has been in constant use as an irrigation source in Santa Fe for over 400 years. The total buildout of the project will be 5 homes. 2 are completed now.

The Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico (HBA of CNM) developed Build Green NM to promote and facilitate sustainable construction. The HBA of CNM has been an active proponent of green building since 1997, and has tried a few programs before settling on Build Green. Build Green New Mexico was launched March 10, 2006 at the National Green Building Conference, which we hosted here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We were accepted as a pilot program from the Green Building Initiative, a national program that helps local Home Builders Associations to begin green Building programs. A committee of New Mexico professionals tailored the NAHB Model Green Home Green Home Building Guidelines to reflect our arid climate, and put it to work. So far we have 40 builders who are all learning the guidelines and certifying homes.
Make sure to download the BGNM Guidelines Updates, which lists a few recent changes that have been made to the Guidelines.
